Set Yourself Up For Success

Set Yourself Up For Success

How Can You Set Yourself Up For Success.
There are many things you can do to set yourself up for success - daily habits that you can adapt such as limiting your time on social media, taking daily prayer time, physical fitness, etc.
There are also things to avoid that would affect you in a way that would cause you to be delayed in pursuing success.
For example I recently saw this post on the Next Door App (app that connects people in a certain neighborhood):
“My car got broken into on (date) and my backpack with laptop got stolen as well as my wallet with social security, DL and credit cards. My car is a XXXXXX If you have any information about this, any cameras overlooking XXXXXXX address, please let me know”
This is not a one off occurrence. In fact, I see this post every week from somebody who has left their backpack or bag with their laptop, their wallet, and all their important information in their car in neighborhoods that are known to have break-ins.
Doing something like this is not setting yourself up for success and a lot of times it’s laziness. I’ve had the situation where I left something of value in the car and thought to myself oh, I don’t want to go out and get it, but then the next thought is - if somebody breaks in and steals it how much trouble is that going to cause me?
Recently, I did something really stupid because I was overloaded and had my phone in my hand instead of in the bag. I set it on the bed cover of my truck put everything else in the truck forgot it was there jumped in and drove off. Guess what? It flew off somewhere on the freeway I presume.
What kind of turmoil do you think that caused? I was without a phone for almost a week because I was traveling, and there were all kinds of complications getting a phone delivered to where I was located.
Although I’m set up for success in my life that one thoughtless action derailed my success for several days. I couldn’t get into my bank accounts because everything wanted to send me a text message to my phone. I couldn’t reach out to appointments that I had because their information was in my phone.
Setting yourself up for success sometimes means doing preventative measures to not cause you additional stress, frustration, and time that would take away from you moving forward in your mission in life .
How can you eliminate these kind of distractions to make sure there isn’t a wrinkle in your success path ?
