We are sad and heartbroken to announce the passing (homegoing)of one of our ladies in Kenya. •
•
Hellen Nalimo, 33 years old, a mother of two Melody 15 years old and Oliver 8 years old. •

Hellen is one of the original five women (pictured far right above) that we started working with. She has been hardworking and loving and kind to the other ladies. In 2023 she became extremely sick and was diagnosed with diabetes, since then her health has been deteriorating. @basketsandbeadskenya helped her to get the medicine and medical care she needed.

In December she was with us during the 3 day business conference and our market day and celebration party on Dec 17. A few short weeks later she became sick and she went to the hospital for treatment due to her diabetes. She was treated and released, but she did not get better and days later she got worse and lost conscious, she was rushed to kitale hospital on Jan 7th. •

There was no change and she was transferred over an hour and a half away to a hospital in Eldoret for further treatment. She did not get better and never regained consciousness. She went to be with the Lord on the Jan 9th. She will be buried next week Monday the 20th in Lodwar.•

We are all still in shock at her passing and are praying for her children and the rest of her family. She was such a sweet, kind and loving person and mother. She loved her kids so much and worked very hard. We miss her beyond what words can express.
