BnB Live – A Sustainable Fair Trade Network
BnB Live is our new format for all things live both online and in person. Here are some of the things we have planned so far and will be evolving going forward.
LIVE SHOPPING
We are starting a weekly live shopping series every Thursday at 5PM Pacific and invite you to join us. If you aren’t able to attend the live shopping the specials will be available to those of you on the list up until the Sunday after. Check out our first segment at our temporary studio from this past Thursday. Join us for the next one on the Facebook Baskets and Beads Page – like the page to get updates about when we go live on Facebook.
SWAHILI SUNDAY
This is my normal Sunday live that covers many topics and updates from Kenya. This weekend I will be sharing how to set goals that work. Join me on Facebook, YouTube or Linked In.
Here’s a link to a previous Swahili Sunday.
LIVE EVENTS
BnB Live will host in person and online events. Our in person events will include classes, soiree’s, dinners, get togethers, shopping, networking and much more. We will bring back the connection dinners and other events. We are working on securing a space where we will set up a permanent studio and a showroom. We are also planning some Fair Trade pop ups in our space where you can meet, shop and network with other Fair Trade vendors. Much more to follow as this develops.
Our big projects that still need supporters are: The School Fee project and the Farm Project.
The kids will be returning to school and will need new uniforms, supplies and school fees. We are short in being able to support these needs and your help is needed. We expect expenses for all the kids to be around $1,000-$1,500.
Our farming project is coming along. The first round of planting has germinated, and we are hoping for a good crop. We have fronted the cost for this and still need to cover about $1,000 in expenses. If you would like to help with either of these projects please consider a donation of any amount here.
Once again, thank you so much for your continued support and belief in me and the mission of Baskets and Beads Kenya.
Happy New Year
